Phishing Exposed by Lance James isn’t an exposé on finding secret fishing holes and the science of catching fish. Rather, it digs deeply into the pheno of that next wave (tsunami-like)  of online crime where nefarious crooks steal identities and if you aren’t very, very careful, your hard-earned money.

It is getting harder and harder to be able to use legitimate websites without being taken advantage of by those who would take away your finances by illegal activities. This is not a malware or scareware book. It is an aware book that offers ways to know how and who is scamming you. And this isn’t a computer platform-specific activity either.

Ther are seven chapters on identifying three classes of Phishing Attacks (impersonation, forwarding and popup), uncovering phishing servers and blind drops (nasty servers that tie to anonymous Email accounts that contain stolen data), bots, crawlers, SSL exploits, international money-laundering (of which I have personally been a victim), and even DNS poisoning and pharming techniques.
