A New Day and A New Year!

Welcome to the first issue of macCompanion for 2006.  This is going to be the year of Macs and we really will see a technological tsunami sweep over the world.  The kickoff will not be CES (though great stuff will appear there as well), but MacWorld in January and WWDC in June will show us even better technology as Apple Corporation reveals what they have had in the manufacturing pipeline.

We look forward to wonderful things that will both excite and ignite our minds and hands into bettering society.

Come join us this issue as we explore books, hardware, shareware and software that makes life just a little less challenging and more productive.

Oh, and we can’t forget our columnists either. They have done some really great work themselves on their own websites, Blogs, podcasts and vodcasts, some of what we have captured here along with a guest article from MyMac.

By the way, MyMac interviewed Daphne Kalfon in December. And you really should check out the links to the other staff members on the macCompanion home page. There is a lot of energy and excitement going on there as well. Much of that energy is being generated by those who have been migrating to the Mac from other platforms. They make this fun!

Meanwhile, please take the time to visit our affiliates. After all, they are helping us pay the bills so you can continue to get macCompanion each month.

We hope to report on MacWorld in the February issue. A new day and a new year. Together, let’s make it the best yet!
