About Me
Ted Bade is a long time fan and Apple user having started in the Days of the Apple ][+. He adopted the Macintosh platform early in the 80's and has owned a variety of Macs and Mac clones. Today he owns a PowerMac G5/1.8 and a PowerBook/1.5G, and a plethora of iPods, used mostly for audio books.
His day job is working for an Electric Power company where he sometimes puts his Electrical Engineering degree to work (but not often), while fighting with a variety of PCs and a couple of UNIX work stations. He has written and published a number of article for Web sites, newsletters, and even commercial magazines. He has also published one children's book.
Since Ted enjoys working with electronics and computers he is always trying something new. He has both a wired and wireless network in his home. He isn't afraid to open up a machine and do an upgrade. Once he helped a friend upgrade the hard drive in a revision a iBook.
He is also a big fan of games both online and stand alone, and regularly plays Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege, Halo, Doom III, and Burning Monkey solitaire. He is looking forward to the many soon to be released games for the Macintosh.
