Real Occupation: I sell vegetables to grocery chains, wholesalers and brokers in the US and Canada. The summer is my busy season, if you need me to help on a project, ask me in the winter.
About Me
I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. I am married for 23 years with two children, both grown and living still in Wisconsin. I moved out to Washington State in 2004 as a job move and been enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest since then. Back in Wisconsin I owned a small ISP as a sideline and it was more then a hand full. I designed websites and also hosted websites. Since my move out west, I have dropped a lot of the customers I had in Wisconsin, but still keep enough of the websites to have several servers around the country full of domains, including 15 or so that I own.
Why Macs?
I owned and built my own PC’s since the early 90’s. I must have built 30 or 40 over the years, and I found that I spent more time re-installing Windows then actually building and fixing the hardware. I bought my first Mac, a TiBook in 1991 and since that time I bought 3 more Macs and now I do not have a single PC in the house. Unfortunately I have to use a Windows PC at my day job. I love the Mac because of the software that is written for it. It’s unique, functional and attractive. I never get bored with trying new Mac software. That’s where I got the idea for my podcast, reviewing hardware, software and websites that make using the Mac special. I’m a Mac user for life.
My macCompanion Articles
I write maCompanion articles from Surfbits. I look at all the new and updated Mac freeware that caught my eye. You will always find a great program or two that you never knew about by reading my column.
